One light stopped within a month, good customer service increased it one star.
I purchased this set of lanterns to add some light to my backyard outside my storage shed. Initially they both worked but within a month one light stopped working. I tried moving the non-functioning light where it would receive direct sunlight for a couple days and that didn’t help. I swapped the batteries between the two lanterns but the other still didn’t work.*Update 1/13/21*A month after posting my initial review, I received a response from the seller apologizing for the bad experience. They promised to rectify the situation and sent out a replacement. I received the lanterns and placed them outside to charge, waiting 3 days before I turned the switch to ensure they were adequately charged before I continued this review. I also forgot to mention in my initial review that the housing is metal and there appears to be real glass, which is a nice touch. I finally mounted then turned them on the evening of the 10th. Both lights came on and I was impressed with the brightness of the light. After roughly 7 hours one of the lamps turned off. The 2nd lasted another hour and a half. I took a series of pictures to document the progress and how long each light lasted. The following night we got around 4½ hours from each. I assume maybe this has something to do with not getting as much light due to it being winter. This has been mentioned by several other reviewer. Unfortunately they need a lot of sunlight to work through the night. Maybe this is due to the manufacturer using only 1200 mAh batteries (in laymen terms the higher the mAh rating, the more energy storage capacity the battery has, and the longer the battery life). This may be the answer to the issue other reviewers have pointed out; the fact that battery choice is limited to the suggested 3.7V 1200 mAh 18650 Lithium Battery. It would be interesting to find out if a higher mAh battery, say a 9800mAh High Capacity Li-ion Rechargeable Battery, would significantly increase amount of time the lantern fuctions.
Nice lamps but not wind resistant.
We bought a set of two for our pergola. They look nice and seem will built. The are brighter than I thought and last several hours of fully charged. We liked them so much that we bought a second set for our entry portal at our cabin. On the portal the lights look small but nice. My only complaint is that these can’t handle much wind. Twice I’ve found them on the ground. The first time the bottom part fell off. Luckily the glass didn’t break and I was able to put them back together easily. The second time I found them on the ground the entire assembly had blown off their hanging brackets. One of the bulbs is gone. I searched but couldn’t find it.I will try to secure the lamps to the brackets with wire and glue the bottom portions to the tops. Now if only I could find the one bulb.I see reviews complaining that these don’t stay lit all night. Well you may be asking too much from a lamp that has a very small solar panel and a low capacity battery. Don’t expect much output if they weren’t exposed to full sun or if it was cloudy or rainy most of the day.

Out of 3 sets of 2, 2 failed
I have purchased 3 sets of these. The 1st 2 sets 11 doesn’t stay on all night all night. It actually only stays on for about 3 hours to 4 hours at most.. They all received the same amount of sunlight fun light. The rest of them are fantastic! I suspect this is a battery issue but I cannot find a replacement battery anywhere . Are you ordered a 3rd set for my backyard because I do love how long they stay on and how bright they are. One of the 2 in the Box only stays on approximately 1 hour and the other 1 is fine. So if you’re this company and you’re reading my comment PLEASE find a way to reach out to me and tell me how I could replace the batteries!!
Outdoor solar lantern
The solar torch light seems bright enough. I did’t mount these on a wall. I have them hanging from a shepherd’s hook.
