A nice little lantern. Not a real believable flickering light but it does flicker and it is the correct shape. I think it is actually made from a real oil burning hurricane lamp just different guts. So I would not buy this if you are looking for light to walk around at night with but for sitting by your chair and reading your kindle it adds just the right amount of ambiance.

Not perfect but looks good.
It’s a nice lantern. Has an orange flame like glow. The downside is that instead of having a random flickering effect like a flame, it’s more of a slow constant flashing. It make a nice decorative piece

Do NOT let this get wet.
It’s nice, bright, and easy to use, BUT if it gets wet all the frosting will peel off the glass and reveal the lighting effects inside.

My daughter had to portray Harriet Tubman for a biography project at school. We purchased this lantern for her a prop. It was perfect. The light flickers like an real candle/oil lamp.

It is a nice lantern but it comes with two little nuts and bolts…good luck securing the leds…had to have my son do it…

Lanterns arrived in poor condition
I’m really disappointed because the style is fun and antique but these came out the box pretty bad. Especially since I’m using these for photos they came in bad shape.

Perfect for camping!
I used this for camping. It’s not meant to be real light in pitch black darkness, but it added a bit extra vibe and the flickering was perfect. I was able to use it to see where I was walking.
