Solar lights
Wish these had a bigger solar pnl and a bigger battery. In the winter they last anywhere from 2 to 3 hours. I expect them to last 4 to 5 hours in the summer when it’s brighter outside. But they do look great. As far as waterproof ony time will tell.

Almost Perfect
I love these lanterns. They look perfect hanging in the eaves of my 1870s Victorian porch. The flickering flame looks very authentic. My neighbor has something similar hanging from her porch. When I see these lights on our old homes at night I can almost imagine our neighborhood 140+ years ago. I wasn’t sure if I would like the bronze, but it looks much better in person.My only dislike is the placement of the solar charging panel, although I’m not sure how it could be any different. They do not get much sun under the eaves so the I have to take them down every other morning to charge for the day. I get two nights out of a charge so it’s not the worst thing to just set them out in the morning when I’m letting the dog out. I am still considering buying another set to hang in the back and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a cool, vintage effect.

FLAMES
I purchased these lanterns because of the “Realistic Flame Effect.” While the flame effect is good they are not as realistic as the ones I purchased a few years ago from another maker (which I cannot find anymore). So my honest opinion is I have seen more realistic and most I have looked at are way less, so these are a good alternative. If I didn’t already have 2 with VERY REALISTIC flames these would probably be more satisfying and would have received 5 rather than 4 stars.

PRETTY BUT ON AND OFF IS MANUAL
Update: one lantern is defective. It will not automatically turn on and off so the battery must wear out.The other lantern does work ar described, atomatically turning on during darkness and off during daylight. I really did want these to work. I love the lught output and the flame effects.I love the flame on these and the light that that they put out. They are like having a Tiki Torch lit near you and guests in the evening.However, these particular lanterns don’t have a photosensitive switch that turns them on at night and off during the day. What I found is that they stay on all day until the battery drains power out, then they try to recharge themselves during the day (while still on, which is difficult to see in the sun) and then work for shorter and shorter periods at night. This leads to lower light output and shortened working times.If you manually turn them on and off as needed, they work just fine, have time to charge and put out a great deal of light. This means they MUST be manually put out into the full sun and turned on and off by hand.They don’t turn on and off automatically.It is my belief that the lantern’s description that is written with this product is a generic one used for several different solar lanterns and therefore creates a false description of these lamp’s capabilities. This is disappointing.

Love these solar lantern lights. My previous solar lights would act up when it rained and I periodically had to rattle them to turn on so I so tired of them purchased these lanterns and I could not be happier. The lights have a nice flicker and stay on for hours. Best purchase. Highly recommend
