    Very nice, but it would be nice for the on switch to force them on…
    These little lights are really nice and add a wonderful ambiance to my outdoor patio setting. However, when turned on, they will only illuminate if it is really dark. It would be nice if they could be forced on so they illuminate at dusk, or when there is some other artificial lighting nearby. You can force them to illuminate by physically covering the solar panel so it thinks it is really dark, but that detracts from the overall appearance. I’m working on a custom cover that looks like it belongs with the light, but this would have been a five star rating if such a cover was included.

    Stunning effect! Ambience only – not much light.
    Got about 15 of these for a party. They looked amazing! Was afraid the neighbors would think we really had fire lanterns in the yard. Very classy look. Has a functional alligator clamp on top for shrub attachment or you can use zip ties (included). Really gorgeous!!

    3/4 are good
    We really like these lanterns. While they are not necessarily really bright, they offer great ambiance, which is what we were looking for.Our bad experience is that one light is dead after just 2 weeks of use. It lights up briefly about 1 minute, then dims for 3 or 4 minutes and then shuts off completely and looks silly. We have other solar patio lights that are all going strong after 3 summers

    One lantern quit working after first night
    I love these lanterns and wish I could give a 5 star review in all categories, but one of the four (I ordered two sets) quit working after the first night. They are beautiful when they work.

    Needs decent amount of full sun for a few hours of lamp light in dark. I love how they really look like flames. It’s relaxing to see these on the patio at night.

    Didn’t like so I returned
    I have other solar lanterns and they are more life like. This was not as bright and the flame was not as good as other brands. It was an easy return with no problems.

    The candle effect is nice, but doesn’t last but for a few hours at night, even with all day in the Florida sun.

    Lovely lantern lights!
    I bought 2 of these flickering flame type lanterns for our deck.We are very pleased with them – they go out in the sun every day to charge solar, and they last quite a long time into the evening. I do bring them under cover at night, so I can’t speak to durability when they are left out in the nighttime air and condensation. But so far – several months of use, and they are great.
