Microscopic on/off switchAlmost returned these because the on/off switch is hard to see and inside the plastic torch cup black on black tiny switch. The instructions do not show where the on/off switch is either. When I was packing the box to ship it back one fell apart and revealed the switch to which I need a magnifying glass to see because my old eyes couldn’t see it. All of the torches work and look like a natural flame and last for about 6 hours. So twist the top of the torches and pull the top off to find the on/off switch inside torch. 4 stars because of poor instructions.

I love these (when they are lit/ powered)I am overall happy with my purchase, but they are smaller than I thought they would be, and made of plastic. I live in Michigan and we have cloudy winters, so because these are Solar-Powered, they don’t stay lit for very long after dark. Even when we do have sunny days they seem to only stay lit about 4 hours after sunset. If it’s cloudy all day they barely light at all. I do LOVE seeing them lit up at night after a very sunny day – they look like flaming torches in the distance, Very Medieval! I can’t wait for longer summer days and seeing if these stay lit all night!

Lights eventually stopped working BUT…I found in my situation that the switch was bad. There are three small Phillip head screws on the casing each side and one screw at the base! Unscrew those and carefully pull apart. You will see the wiring going to the switch. I cut the wiring in half then spliced the wire’s together… This resolved my issue and the light began to work. If this doesn’t resolve the issue then it’s probably the rechargeable battery but… unless you’re a really good diy person…. I’d just buy a new one. The batteries are very hard to replace – the wiring is tight in the clear casing and the soldering is iffy…. Really easy to break the wiring from the light pad inside the casing!Hope this helps!

BrightUnfortunately it takes a bright day to charge. When charged, looks great!

Nice AmbianceThe product is lightweight plastic, but they do look nice at night. Price is good for quantity.

Beautiful, wish they lasted longerThese lights look so pretty on our front walkway! They really do look like flickering flames, and add a really nice touch to our home. The only down side is that they don’t hold a charge all night and die out before it gets light outside, but otherwise they are a great product!

Looks like real flamesLooks like real flames, many people didn’t notice they were real until I pointed it out. Stays lit all night with a full charge. The only disappointing feature is the two part pvc poles, some have bent due to the heat in the summer.

Cool…super cool if they all worked. These look really awesome in the yard, but 3 didn’t work…one worked for a day and then stopped.
