Needs a lift kit if you’re over 5.5 ft. tall.I love almost everything about this unit but the height. It’s built very well for the price. Wonderful heavy duty casters, burners, most of the metal gauge is more than adequate, etc. But come on, we need more height. I could sit in my lawn chair and still cook with this. I’m 6′ 1″ and its WAY too low, needs to be 6″ to 10″ higher. “Someone” needs to come out with a leg extension kit for this unit being as there is a plethora of other add-ons for Blackstone products. Mine was delivered without any damage, great packaging, VERY heavy… took two of us to move to garage for assembly which was VERY easy and fast even though I loctited everything when assembling. BTW, I gave it 3 stars on heat distribution because the “middle to left” side of grill is showing about 50-100 degrees hotter than the right side inside a no-wind but vented garage. I will update this review as time with product goes on.Update 12-20-22. I raised it to 4 stars because I believe the uneven heat distribution was caused by air in the line, it evened out much better after rebooting. I installed the sivsis magnetic wind guards and they helped a lot with heat up time and max temp, cut time in half to heat up griddle and tops out around 650 now. Still wished griddle was taller in height, I may fabricate some extensions at some point but it probably works good enough as is.

Best grill purchase I’ve made in years!I bought this for my husband for Christmas and we absolutely love it. It was easy to assemble with two people and took 15-30 minutes to do so. The seasoning process was also easy enough to do while cleaning out the garage and doing various other home chores in between. Heat distribution is even and accurate. We’ve cooked on this a few times already and cleaning it has been very easy. You definitely want to make sure you keep the griddle warm and don’t let it cool completely before scraping it. Would highly recommend this!

Everyone needs this!Ok so I cried when the fed ex man dropped it off at the end of my driveway and I had to drag it into my house up 5 stairs by myself but it was worth it! It was a surprise for my husband so I didn’t want him to see it otherwise I would have made him to do the heavy lifting. He was so excited to see it because all of his friends had one so I guess he is one of the “cool kids†now. 🙂

We LOVE our Blackstone! 5âï¸ quality results.I got this for my husband for Fathers Day couple of years ago. He was really skeptical at first but loves it after using it. We will not cook Salmon or steaks any other way!! Restaurant; high quality results. You can do all your breakfast items at once. All your veggies and meats together. Options are endless!!The only issue is during the winter (cooking outside)it is more challenging to maintain the high level of heat evenly and I wish they made larger food covers, especially when cooking out side in the cold. We debated over a new grill or a Blackstone. I’m glad we went this route . You can do soo much more! The food comes out amazing with that great crispy outer crust on steaks and hot juicy inside. We now would rather cook our steaks at home, they come out so much better than most restaurants and more cost effective!! The grill top is very heavy btw. The Blackstone grill cover we bought separately and is not waterproof unfortunately. All in all, so glad we chose this over a standard grill.

You NEED a griddle, and I’d suggest this one!Eggs, Burgers, Bacon, Potatoes, Pancakes, Fried Rice, Fried Cabbage, Hot Dogs, Onions, Peppers… Just a few of the things that come out amazing on a blackstone griddle. Can you obtain the same results in a cast iron skillet? For the most part…yes. But most people don’t want to use a cast iron skillet correctly indoors due to the amount of smoke that can be produced when cooking at high heat and many others don’t have the necessary ventilation due to recirculating hood vents / over range microwaves (as is my case…).Start by seasoning the griddle well. I’d suggest three seasonings, scrape with a scraper, one light seasoning, and then go to town cooking on it. First thing you should cook after the initial seasoning? I think it should be Bacon or Smashburgers as the high-fat foods will aid the initial seasoning process. Highly suggest lard for the initial seasoning process, although most high-heat oils will work well (don’t use olive oil, for example…).Pros:- Solidly built, high quality, no doubt it will last many, many years if properly taken care of.- Even if abused, the steel griddle surface can be brought back to life through scrubbing and reseasoning.- A properly seasoned griddle is incredibly nonstick. Even without additional oil I have made eggs and burgers without issue.- Easy cleanup and you can make an impressively large amount of food on this thing.Neutral / Comments:- GET A PROPER TOOL KIT. You’ll want at least two turners and a handled scraper. The blackstone premium ones work really well. An oil bottle and water bottle are also vital to have for cooking and cleaning (I use a gatorade squeeze / sports bottle for water). Egg Rings, Burger Presses, and basting covers are great tools to have as well but not strictly necessary.- At maximum heat, this grill will eat through propane relatively quickly. The most economical way to purchase propane is getting a tank refilled, as you’ll get the full 20lbs rather than the 15lbs that you get when swapping your tank at an exchange point and it’s usually cheaper to get a 20lb fill than a 15lb exchange. Just need to make sure the tank you’re filling is less than 12 years old to comply with DOT regulations (or 10 years per U-Haul’s policy). You can avoid this altogether if you have a natural gas line run for your grill and get the Blackstone natural gas conversion kit, which would be my recommended strategy if possible in your situation as it will pay for itself relatively quickly (depending on how often you use it).- Need a hard cover to prevent rust formation with a soft cover. Not the easiest thing to find right now due to the supply chain issues, but not a major fault of the manufacturer or this product itself.Cons:- Paper towel holder is useless. Any slight gust of wind will unroll them entirely. Makes a nice place to hang my tongs, though.- Instructions were not updated to cover the handle assembly on the left side of the grill properly. It does not have nuts welded to the frame as the instructions seem to indicate, but rather requires the use of the nuts in the packaging. Easily figured out and an easily forgiven mistake by Blackstone in my opinion.Review is in relation to the 36″, 4 Burner Model with cutting board and paper towel holder.
